![]() ![]() Could one of the more "expert" players out there write a strategy guide for the statistics, uses of, and tips and tricks to using the seduce/charm/dominate skill? Is it due to the fact that I was generally grouping them with some other strong units who were fanatically loyal to me?ĭoes anybody know the numbers on keeping units in line? Perhaps a "dominate specific" strategy guide for players making the jump from "newbie" to "expert"? I'm not to the latter, but I'm 99% sure I'm not in the former category either. I was able to keep them in line for some reason. I was really bothered by this until this last game when I dominated four opposition heroes and a few 元 and L4 units. So there is mad hype around Dominate, but it always ticks me off because whenever I decide to play with it I always wind up spending all those points for a skill which gives me units who desert within a few turns anyway. All units on the tactical map move equally fast. Free Movement applies only to the strategic map. By the time you get spells like Global Assault, the game is likely to be almost over anyway. ![]() Honestly though, most of these aren't too big of a deal. (Unless someone else becomes the stack leader, as discussed in the other post.) Rogue's Armor Piercing is rendered redundant if he also takes the Stronger than Steel ability. Martial Arts is rendered redundant by Martial Arts training. (Warlord Ultimate spell.) So is First Strike. For example: Charge Command (Warlord Skill) is rendered redundant by Global Assault. It's helpful to remember what skills can be rendered redundant later, though. The skill is pretty cheap and you can get it MUCH earlier than you can research it. Researching the latter renders the former void. Warlords get Martial Arts both as a hero upgrade and empire skill. Specific, one-off skills like Martial Arts do not stack. Other upgrades that stack include Life Steal, all elemental resistances, and fast healing. If you can get a bunch of them (from items, skills, mounts, etc.) you can have a hero who sees as far as a watchtower. ![]()
